Mosaic Family Team

I'm Ingrid Johnson, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in San Clemente.

My background includes moving around as a kid and becoming flexible with change and able to jump into new schools and settings ( I went to 3 high schools in my 4 year career in Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming). That adaptability has served me as a I started my career in 2002 in Alaska and moved me to Long Beach, CA in 2003.

While my titles and roles have varied over the years, I figure if I am able to help and work with people in the pain, joy, and also day to day grind of life, I am doing my job at large. My career has included working in nonprofit settings such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater L.A. with at-risk youth, families, and mentors, community mental health with field-based services (sometimes therapy with kids is throwing a football at the park), residential and IOP mental health and substance abuse treatment centers, and hospice and bereavement, and school settings.
When I am not sitting in a seat as a therapist, you'll find me reading a book, maybe training or competing in a triathlon, or trying to practice what I preach by spending time with people I love and creating a life I am proud to call my own.

Hi, I’m Julie! I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is supervised by Ingrid Johnson, LMFT. My experience includes working in school-based, community-based, and private practice settings with children, teens, and adults. In therapy, I consider the “whole” person, acknowledging that we are all made up of different parts that contribute to who we are and how we interpret the world. I strive to empower clients to discover new and effective ways to approach life, and together, explore a variety of factors that may contribute to one’s level of well-being, such as attachment relationships, daily habits, and significant life events. Trained in EMDR, I use a trauma-informed approach to treat individuals with presenting concerns of anxiety, depression, social phobias, grief and loss, OCD, relational issues, chronic pain and illness, affect regulation, and processing life’s many transitions and stressors. I am eager to meet clients wherever they are, as we build a relationship based on trust, authenticity, and connection.

A little bit about me! I graduated from San Diego State University in 2018 with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Thereafter, I worked with teens in a nonprofit setting, where my passion for cultivating deep relationships grew, as well as my heart for mental health services. I desired to be further equipped in serving the community on both a caring and clinical level. So, in 2021, I attended Azusa Pacific University to pursue my Master’s of Arts in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I graduated in 2023 and landed in San Clemente, where I consider it the greatest honor and privilege to be part of helping others navigate their own life journeys. When I am not at Mosaic, I am typically teaching (or doing!) yoga, rock climbing, trying new recipes, planning camping trips with my husband, and finding new ways to spend time outside.

I am currently accepting clients ages 5 and up. I take Cigna and United insurance as well as self-pay clients; my rate is $130 and sliding scale is available on a case by case basis.

Hi, I’m Madison. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is supervised by Ingrid Johnson, LMFT. My background is working with children, teens, and adults of all ages who are seeking therapy for the first time, returning to therapy, or simply exploring how they can better care for themselves. While completing my degrees, I have managed employees, worked with students on college/career planning, supported individuals in a crisis residential program, and served my community with the hope of being an approachable mental health professional. My experience as a therapist includes working with individuals who are living with anxiety, depression, work/school/life stress, various traumas, ADHD, anger management issues, and substance use disorders. My diverse experience working with my community has been invaluable in shaping me as the clinician I am today. I see therapy as a tool that allows me to connect with my clients and draw attention to their strengths that can be utilized to build confidence in themselves.
I graduated from San Francisco State University in 2019 with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Sexuality Studies. I returned to my hometown in Orange County in 2020, just before the pandemic hit, and decided that my academic journey would continue at Pepperdine University seeking a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I graduated in 2022 and have since settled in San Clemente, Ca, where I feel most at home.
What can you expect in therapy with me? I approach every client with an emphasis on kindness, respect, and safety. I pride myself on being a safe person and professional that you can trust. I have found that no single therapeutic approach fits every client, so you can expect me to tailor my approach to best fit your needs. In our 50-minute sessions, you can expect me to meet you where you are and work with you to process and also find tools to support your individual needs. I begin EMDR training in June 2023 and look forward to integrating into sessions.

When I am not sitting in the therapist chair, you can find me on a walk with my dog, reading a book, listening to a jam band, or welding (yes, you did read that right!).
I am currently not accepting new clients.
